Dear Everyone,

I am so sorry that I said you sucked. I am irritated at the fact you were looking past my job and my complaint and focusing on stupid mistakes. In a brief but long story i told you that a mental patient asked for my phone number. I also added two disgruntled patients who told me they were going to go to another hospital next time. As for golfer, gofer, gulfer, I am a servant. SO!!!!! What if I can't spell. I am third in my class and I plan on becoming a nurse. At this very second i could give a hoot if my grammer and my spelling are wrong. I am a freakin teenager. It is a journal not a essay or paper due tomorrow. I don't intend of being this mad all the time so just look past silly mistakes. Right now i bet you your looking already and you have seen at least 10. Stop!!!!!! I could care less and you need a life.

I fear for your GPA, if you ever have to write a report. I really, really do. Your instructor won't be able to understand a damn thing you write. That is, if you don't get kicked out of school for "acting out" (throwing a temper tantrum) when someone tries to explain to you that what you've written isn't very coherent, and you should think about editing.

A few hints:

Read what you've written out loud to yourself. If it doesn't sound right, then chances are, it won't make sense when it's read.

Pay attention to punctuation and spelling.

Pay attention to words that are spelled differently but sound a like, and vice versa.

Also? In a forum where the written word is the mode of communication? Spelling/punctuation/grammar is important. In a journal which is also a public forum? Ditto.

It's a few days late, but I have to comment.

The purpose of writing is to communicate. It's true that an LJ post is not a paper due tomorrow. Thank goodness for that! But if your post is so full of misspellings, bad grammar, and confusing sentences that it takes multiple readings to understand what you meant, you have to accept the fact that you have failed to communicate.

Now, what's this "thanks for wishing me a happy birthday" remark? I didn't see any mention of your birthday in either this post or the other one. Are we supposed to be actively looking for this kind of information from an online stranger we have never met before? You would have the right to be upset if a family member or close friend forgot your birthday... not so much if someone who doesn't know you didn't know it was your birthday.

By the way, being a teenager is not an excuse for terrible spelling and grammar. I'm nineteen, myself.
